Ro-Ghoul features a wide variety of objects and environments to discover. Players are given the choice to play as a member of one of two factions: a ghoul, or a member of CCG. The object of the game depends on the player's faction.

As a Ghoul, players can either live peacefully or engage in genocide. However, they are always in fear of being hunted and killed by other ghouls, or humans that are trained to kill ghouls. Ghouls utilize their Kagunes to fight and defend themselves. Ghouls also have the ability to use Specials that can turn a fight around in their favor. Ghouls can gain reputation and be classified as a higher threat by the CCG and become a notorious Ghoul.

Ro-Ghouls is about finding and killing ghouls. These ghouls are actually monsters that look like us: ordinary humans. Use your special Quinque weapon to dispose of these ghouls while also collecting their materials to enhance your weapon and make it more powerful, or enhance yourself and make yourself faster and stronger than ever before!

It takes place in post-apocalyptic Tokyo, where the city has been overrun by ghouls, creatures that feed on human flesh. Players take on the role of one and must survive by scavenging for food, avoiding army patrols, and fighting off other ghouls.

You can also fight other players, hang out with your friends, organize competitions, or fight a boss and gain a lot of EXP Points. Cosmetics such as Masks are in the game so that you can have your own nickname and hide your identity. Players can join affiliated groups on Roblox to find a community to play with in Ro-Ghoul.
