reggenie also uses its own registry cleaner to detect any unwanted entries, files, and folders in the registry. reggenie does this by setting up a virtual drive, registry cleaner, where it will place any unwanted registry entries and files. unwanted applications with settings, cookies, etcetera can cause quite a few problems such as slow system load times.

after installing it, you will notice the name of the startup program change to "reggenie" and a little icon for the program appear on your desktop. as with most startup programs, the icon will start to process and its various functions.
reggenie has a graphical user interface and uses the tab menu style of windows programs to allow for easy navigation. after clicking the reggenie icon, the program's default settings will automatically load. this will then display the initial screen with several tabs.
the next tab we'll examine is the settings tab and as the name suggests, is where you can set the various registry settings. the settings will automatically change accordingly to your chosen settings. the settings are not saved however, so make sure you back up the registry before making any changes.
after choosing the setting you'd like to see, it will display the registry. the settings options are what you'd normally expect from a registry cleaner. you will be able to set the key you'd like to see removed, or whether it will be removed automatically, etcetera.
the system performance tab has options for viewing your system performance and has more options that we're unaware of. we tested all options on a fresh install of windows 7 home premium and they worked nicely.
